World Series of Handball Partners with LATHC
The World Series of Handball is proud to announce a partnership with the Los Angeles Team Handball Club (LATHC) to host the qualification tournament for the IHF's World Handball Club Championship tournament later this year in Egypt. The NACHC has sent 4 different clubs in the last 5 instances of the tournament and we are excited to see the potential for another this summer in Las Vegas. The Club World Championship is a tournament of champions ranging from 8-12 participating teams. Each of these teams represents a champion of their respective continental confederation. Veszprem competed in 2024 as a wildcard and was able to bring home the coveted title!
We asked World Series of Handball organizer Roger Meyer what his thoughts were on what this means for the weekend in Vegas: "I am just so happy to have the Super Globe here. This is a big time tournament with some big time teams. To be able to be a part of this crucial tournament for the countries of North America is really cool. We are hoping this helps bring some added attention and exposure to handball here as we try to grow the game across the US."
Keep an eye out on our social media pages for more details regarding the participating teams for this Super Globe qualifier. We should be expecting teams from Mexico, Canada, Greenland, and at a minimum New York City Team Handball Club (Men's Elite Champions of USATH) and Los Angeles Team Handball Club (Host Club).
